Where is best to live in Canada? |
I am interested in moving to Canada from the UK, & was wondering if someone could advise me on nice places to live. I would like to live on the suburbs of a nice city where there is snow in the winter, but it is milder in the summer. Also, needs to be on Eastern side to get to the UK easily & close to America (to get to Florida in summer). Would like it to be a nice, smart area where the house prices are perhaps more expensive than other areas with private schools..??? Bit specific, I know, but any help would be great! Thanks |

Well you said east side so I would suggest Nova Socitia. Read up about it.
You obviously don't want to be out west becuase there's more rain then snow and if you need to be on the eastern side... Also, I noticed alot of people suggested Ontario. Ontario is great, we have the best health care of all the provinces... but Ontario is more Central Canada.
But if you're going to be traveling to Florida the best spot would be Ontario. Take a look at a map. Actually, Ontario may not be that bad of a choice. Just keep in mind Ontario also has the highest taxes =(. |

Cambridge, Ontario is a nice growing city. It is
southwest of Toronto, maybe 100 miles. My wife's sister lives there. We visit once or twice a year. It is close to Niagara falls, and Buffalo, NY. |

Everywhere is really nice in Canada, but in your case I would live in Ontario. I recomend Toronto, but if you don't like big cities then don't live there. It's up to you. |

i would say the west coast. there is NO snow and a bit rainy. check my 360 and blog if you want. places like saskatchewan/ontario/are way too cold for me. it is -30c for a good part of the winter and they have snow until march. we get snow for a week, then it melts because it is alot warmer here. good luck... |

If it was me I would pick Regina, Saskatchewan (I used to live there myself). However it is a vast country, and what is my personal preference might not be yours!
Good luck!
