PS

Where is the best city in Canada to relocate to?

Why?
Additional Details
I prefer mild winters and sunny California summers I hate suffocating and drenching humidity. I like the bustle and flow of a big city but I love the small and warm friendly town feel.
I love great scenery within your backyard. In other words, I like lakes and luscious vegetation. I love it when it rains and the breeze smells of wet dirt.

Vancouver - beautiful weather, beautiful city and very nice, friendly people.

Melissa R
depends...
- do you like cold or mild winters?
- do you like the mountains?
- do you like snow?
- doyou like small towns or big cities?
- some cities are more expensive than others

For you? Yeah, I'd say Vancouver or Victoria or somewhere around there.

Canada is very big ;) Why are you thinking of relocating would be a good question!

But yes... though I live in Ontario, your best option is probably in BC somewhere! There's some beautiful areas out there. Vancouver... maybe..

Dr. Ralph B
Based on what you've described, Vancouver. Or if you prefer smaller towns and milder winters, Victoria. Both are beautiful cities. As for Halifax, the weather meets your wants but there's really nothing too redeeming about the Maritimes and who's the idiot that said Montreal?

Halifax, it's beautiful.

I live in Saskatoon, Saskatchewan and I love it here. I can't imagine living anywhere else. Saskatoon is a (fairly) big city that can feel like a small town.

I find that most Canadians are proud of where they live and will suggest that you move there. My advice to you is to research each province and list the pros and cons yourself.

The area where I live is great - St Thomas, Southern Ontario, which is a fairly small town, pop 36,000 people.

We are just 15 minutes from the sandy beaches on the north shore of Lake Erie, ten minutes south of highway 401, 20 minutes from London, Ontario (pop 350,000)

This area has a good economy, affordable housing, pretty good schools, and is a great place to raise a family.

It is fairly quiet here and people are neighbourly and businesses are friendly too.

I can drive to Niagara Falls in 2 hours, Toronto in less than 2 hours, Detroit or Buffalo in about 2 hours also. There is lots of open space and I wouldn't live anywhere else!

http://www.discover-southern-ontario.com... - lots of information on this area, the towns & villages here, the ecconomy, housing, nature & wildlife of the area

Sounds like you belong in Halifax to me, it pretty much matches what you've described. I'd also recommend Vancouver which is an awsome city although much larger than Halifax.

Montreal is a really great city.
the weather is kinda intense though: really hot summers, really cold winters.
i really like it though.

what you described, vancouver is probably the best. the weather is more mild and theres lakes, mountains, etc.
