Where is the best place in Canada to have a true foreign experience?

I'm from Tennessee so I'm looking for the closest most European place to travel to.

Quebec City and St. John's, Newfoundland would be the most distinctively different locales.

I'd vote for Montreal in summer!

while TO is likely the most diverse, we have communities which showcase a society or a people, but the whole city is not what I would call "European" - Montreal comes closest.

In TO you could have a true Chinese, Indian, Italian, Portuguese etc. experience, depending which part of the city you're in.

Shelley
either Montreal Quebec or St. John's Newfoundland

Newfoundland has some of the oldest settlements in North America. And the twists and turns of old St. John's is like nothing else.

Charlie
eastern canada, try the toronto area, i went this summer and loved it, but then again im a big fan of canada

Montreal is very European, as are most cities from Toronto east through the Maritimes. My two choices are Montreal (kind of like parts of Paris) and Halifax which will remind you of parts of Scotland, Ireland or Wales.

Montreal and Quebec city are the most European (not Toronto). The people there are very rude to you thought, as if to imply they're too good for tourist money.
