Where is the best place to live in Canada for black people?

anywhere really but you will run into bigots no matter where you go, the people who say Canada isn't racist live in a dream world it is just not overt as it is in some places.

Canada is a great country and hopfully you will be welcomed by all Canadians. I agree with the poster who said Toronto & Halifax are to my knowledge the citys with a large black community with Montreal coming in a close third.

For my money if I was starting out again in Canada I would choose Halifax I like the city, its a smaller city but the capital of Nova Socita and I think it has lots to offer. Toronto & Montreal are big citys with big city crime and grime

edmdood24
Well anywhere in Canada is best we do not have as much racism as our partners to the south. But Toronto Has the biggest black , and latin communties in Canada .

maybe canadians are not "racist" as you would say waving nazi flags or kkk but yes, there is some racism in canada...

i am not black, i am lebanese, born here in canada and you should see how the white red necks in swift current stared at me when i ordered tim hortons at 5 in the morning on my way home.

if i were a black person i would want to live in a city where there are other minorities, such as toronto or montreal. there are black people also in ottawa, calgary, quebec city, really everywhere....

i guess that depends what kind of black people you want to live with? in toronto you have a lot of west africans and caribbean peoples, in montreal you have a lot of black people from afro franco (french) countries such as haiti, senegal, cote d'ivoire, etc.

but really, as a black person you could live in most cities..but of course, i am only lebanese...i have some friends from nigeria who lived and went to school in new brunswick, they say people are not racist but they still get called chocolate man once in a while......

There are not many blacks in Canada. The black population is only about 3% with the largest communities in Toronto and Halifax. In gerneral Canada is a very homogenious society. It 87% white European.
