Look towards the northwestern end of the continental United States. That'll be Washington State (Not to be confused with Washington D.C.). Then look at Seattle, keep going towards the borders at the north with Canada, shortly after the border there'll be a big Island, that's Vancouver Island (not Vancouver the city), between the Island and the mainland there's the strait of Georgia, on it's shore you'll find Vancouver city.
