Where should I move to in canada? |
i'm planning to move to canada soon... but i don't know where yet... some things that are important to me in terms of where i go are sunny weather as dreary rain and cold climate tend to depress me, unfortunately ...also prevalence of nature and beauty, i saw pictures of stratford ontario and really liked the look of the gardens and nature, and the cute england style architecture... also i am very interested in film and acting, so any towns or cities that incorporate these industries would be great as well....
any suggestions? thanks so much! |

Windsor Ontario could be a nice place. Stratford Ontario is also nice. Alberta is a great province to go in Canada aswell as Quebec. |

Ottawa is great, it's beautiful and clean and it doesn't get cold (well to cold I don't think it's cold because i'm from manitoba). Ottawa also puts a lot of empasis on the arts. |

Stratford might be good for you since they have the Shakespeare festival theatre and the festival itself every year. It is a small-ish city but should have everything you need. You're also not terrible far from Toronto in this case.
And though Southern Ontario enjoys a warm to hot summer, the winters can be very harsh and cold. Southern Ontario has one of the largest annual temperature ranges in the world (from the winter cold to the summer heat).
Unfortunately to move somewhere where the temperature is a little more regulated (like coastal British Columbia) you have to deal with the rain that is inevitable to being that close to a large body of water and living along a mountain range. |

Dream on!
knh959's answer is right on!
You can't just "decide to move to Canada" like you "decide" to change internet service providers or your favourite brand of shampoo. You need to first see if you even qualify to immigrate and, in this economic climate, the chances of you qualifying to immigrate are close to zero. Even if you do qualify, are you aware of just how long it will take? Have you received a job offer, or do you think you can just show up and live here...just like that...
So, before you start dreaming about living here, you had better first see if you actually can. |

You're "planning to move to Canada soon"... Oh really, How old are you? Do you have any marketable skills? Do you have money? Where are you now? Are you planning on just hopping a plane/car/bus/train and heading to Canada. News flash dear - YOU CAN"T JUST MOVE TO CANADA!!! You need to contact the nearest Canadian consulate/embassy to where you live and make application. Depending upon your personal circumstances you MIGHT be accepted for immigration sometime in the next ten years or so.
LOL at the thumbs down to my answer and the one below. Way too many "c'mon in" answers to these types of questions. We can't afford to pay welfare/medical/education/housing etc etc to immigrants who can't support themselves. |
