Which Canadian city is the best to visit?

Show all answers

ohhotdamn!
vancouver, bc!
you get the beach, a city, and mountains all within less than an hour of each other.
downtown is very cultural and everybody is friendly.
you can go hike in the mountains or go to the beach.
i recommend going to grouse mountain where you can take a ski lift to the top and have a great view.
then you can head to the beach and just relax.
if you somehow get bored you can take the ferry to vancouver island which is just as fun.

Nova Scotia is the option here....

This is an easy one to answer. Calgary Alberta. It has everything that you could want. From great shopping and eating to great bars, clubs, pubs and people. There is an amazing zoo and lots to see and do.

Hands down, it's Ottawa. I mean, come on, it is the Nation's Capital. I had a friend say that Ottawa has a small-town feel which makes it more relaxing and comfortable to live in. And my British friends all say that we are so friendly all over Canada but especially in Ottawa. A city that is large enough to offer most everything but still lies within walking distance of forests, rivers, National Parks and major metropolitan areas like Montreal and Toronto.

I'd say Vancouver cause I live here and it's the only city in the world where you can go skiing and swimming on the same day! It's a really amazing and beautiful city too!
And while you're here you can take the ferry to Victoria, it has the most beautiful gardens ever!

Marie-Cl... is right about Montreal, except that (for some strange reason) even though it is the gustatory capital of Canada with ethnic restaurants otherwise serving cuisines from all over the world, there still is not one half-decent, or even one-twentieth decent, barbecue joint.

Montreal!! All the way!! For lots of reasons:
1. People speak english and french, and you get to experience the Canadian duality and some French-Canadian culture.

2.The restaurants and clubs are amazing. Whatever your style is, you will find something for you.

3.It's one of the first cities in North America; Montreal has very interesting history and points of interests like the Old Port, Notre-Dame Basilica, the Mount Royal, The Oratoire St-Joseph, the Olympic Stadium, the Casino, La Ronde (amusement park). It's alos got some cool neighborhoods like the Mile-End, Plateau, Hochelaga-Maisonnneuve and the Village.

4.It's also a couple hours away from Québec City; another GREAT option. Very romantic and historic.

5. You'll get to taste REAL poutine.

Enjoy Montreal!!
