Brian Mulroney would be more well known, but Joe Clark would be more respected. Best known of all - Pierre Elliott Trudeau.

No contest.

Brain - PM for 2 terms and 9 years in majority government.

Joe - PM for less than a year in minority government.

9 years in office is way longer to do damage and become infamous. Signed NFTA, created GST, etc. Also recently in news for various investigations and inquireries.

I'd have to say Brian Mulroney would be more well known.

Brian was a prime minister for a much longer period than Joe Clark, he introduced the GST, was involved in the Meech Lake Accord, had a good relationship with charismatic president Ronald Reagan and was seen on TV with him numerous times, and currently has his name circulating with rumors of scandal, corruption, and fraud.

But another thing that makes him more famous than Joe Clark...His son Ben Mulroney is hosting Canadian Idol.

Joe was PM for only 272 days, Mulroney for way too long.

Mulroney would be more well known and is probably one of the most despised former PMs in Canadian history. More than a dozen years after he left office, he's still in the news for being under investigation for graft, influence peddling, taking bribes and various other larcenous activities. Joe Clark was PM for less than a year but enjoyed a long and successful politcal career afterwards. To my knowledge Clark has never been linked to any illegal or immoral activities.

That is a hard question, they are both very popular.Brian Mulroney is hated by many.Joe Clark is not hated.Since Brian Mulroney is still in the news and Joe Clark is not.I will say it`s Mulroney.
