Vancouver is pretty rockin.
Good schools, good pubs, and it's close to Whistler so you can do some extreme mountain biking in the summer, and snowboarding/snow mobiling in the winter.
You can also get a short flight to Banff to go snowboarding at sunshine village and visit Lake Louise.
Vancouver has freaking brilliant shopping too! Argh. I miss Canada!
