It depends what you want to see. I live close to Vancouver, and my own personal feeling is that of the three cities you mentioned, Vancouver has wilderness to offer. When you live in the Lower Mainland (Vancouver region), you are within an hour's drive of wilderness. the city is green throughout the year because the primary species of trees are coniferous (ever-green). Winters are mild, and with the notable exception of last winter, we rarely get snow, and it rarely gets below freezing. But it rains. It rains A LOT from October to March.
Toronto is very metropolitan with some really funky parts to it. Montreal is a beautiful old city that has so much history to it.
I wouldn't recommend not going to any of the cities. As I said they each have their own to offer, and it all depends on what you are looking for and what you enjoy the most. |

I would say montreal, although i've never been there... I hear great things about it especially in winter. Personally (and not because i live here now) But i enjoy Calgary. Ur super close to the mountains and Banff - gorgeous in the winter.... |

I grew up in Montreal, and have family still that live about 60 miles north of it. I have always liked going and visiting, It is majority the french speaking Provence. Winter time, bring warm clothes. Expect delays due to snow. I always visit in August when I do visit. |

If you don't like it too cold, then go with Vancouver in the winter time. |

I'd go with Vancouver. Either place is going to be cold during winter, but Vancouver is near the ocean so it might not be quite as bad. |

Vancouver's the "prettiest" (hope to go there myself someday)
Montreal has the best food (imho)
Toronto is just plain great but it has alot going for it in all areas of tourism.........
since I've never been to Vancouver, I'd pick it but you cant go wrong with any of those choices....Canada is a beautiful place by all personal accounts of mine |

unless you're a winter person, I'd pick Vancouver.
Montreal is a wonderful place, but it's better in the warm weather.
Toronto is rather bland any time of year. |
