Which part of Canada should we live in? |
We're migrating to Canada.
And yeah, we're wondering which part of Canada we should go to.
I'd like somewhere with a cool weather, near a beach? At the beach if possible, that's my dream!
Or like the country side or something
but it shouldnt be too far from the city as well.
You know?
Somewhere in the middle!
All comments are appreciated ;D
thanks!! |

If you want countryside, on a beach, near a city..Ontario is probably one of the best provinces. All along the great lakes you'll find very nice spots! There's even some famous people who have cottages in Rosseau like Kurt Russell and Goldie Hawn. We also some of the best cities like Toronto and Ottawa. Having the water beside you makes the summers cooler and the winters warmer which is probably good, it's cold enough here! The hottest I've seen it in the summers is about 37 C and the coldest i've seen it in the winter is about - 40 C but that's rare, it's usually around - 20C. We usually get lots of snow too! :)
Here are some pictures I found on the net that some tourists took..I'd say they're very accurate of the Parry Sound/Muskoka area on Georgian Bay which is part of lake Huron.

Do you have any idea of just how BIG Canada is. I live in Ontario and it takes two full days to drive across. It spans 5 time zones. Borders 3 oceans. Also remember 25% of the population are speaking French as a 1st language.
Not an easy question. |

Have you actually received official immigration approval, from the Government of Canada . yet ?
If not, I would strongly suggest that you stay in the UK.
Like all of the developed nations, Canada is in the middle of a steep recession, with many Canadians out of work, and many companies going broke here. Do you think that as newcomers to this country, you will be able to get a job, of any kind ? Not likely.
If you are not all ready approved to come to Canada, stay home and wait 5 years, to see what happens to the world's economy. I am serious.

yes if you have a choice of anywhere.. head to the west coast. Vancouver or Victoria areas. Beaches, mountains, wilderness and a metropolis of 2.5 million people all in the same location. Climate here, rains alot in the winter but snow stays mostly on the mountain tops where it belongs. Summers are humid free and max in the 25-30C range (70-80)

Second choice; probably Toronto area. North of that city about an hour you have small towns like Keswick and Barrie on Lake Simcoe and further north there is a million or so lakes in cottage country.
Canada has more lakes than all other countries in the world combined so lakes and beaches never too far away,. |
