They are the drivers, at least in my area. We have found that we have a lot less people trying to sneak on the bus without paying the fare since they took over. Something about the claws, the big yellow teeth and the seal breath that makes people want to make sure they have exact change when they get on the bus.

The trend seems to be catching on though and we will most likely have them driving taxis soon too. I don't know what all of the recent immigrants will do but at least the taxi fares will be paid too.

People who ask questions like this make me laugh... the polar bears sit where ever the hell they want-- they're bears, after all.

the odd day we have a bus travel through canada, the polar bears bully us humans and demand we sit at the back. But typically, the penguins are pretty cool and they chill with the polar bears up front as well. OCCASIONALLY we'll even get a few eskimos drinking beers with some bears on the bus...then everyone becomes happy. But yeah, polar bears are mean like that.

There aren't any busses in Canada, duh! They have dog sleds, and the polar bears sit in the back.
