I don't know about much of the other provinces except some bad experience with some people in Ontario and some great ones in PEI. However, I know how friendly are people in Québec as I'm from Québec myself and been traveling around the Belle Province! And we are friendly whatever you speak French or not: most of us can manage at least some conversation with English-speaking people. |

Newfoundland, by a long shot..The people in this province do not judge others, just do what they can to help. They welcome everyone into their homes, regardless of race, or religion. A truly prestine land, go there and experience a miracle in human kindness... |

Newfoundland, hands down. Just look at what the town of Gander, NL did for thousands of stranded airline passengers on 9/11:

I have not visited all the provinces in Canada, but i've been in Ontario, Quebec, New Brunswick, Nova Scotia and PEI; and people are friendly everywhere.
And I'm a French Canadian and I never had any problems with it. |

British Columbia has the coolest guy in Canada, and he is friendly.
Shameless self promotion.
Be cool, and friendly. |

Most certainly somewhere in the maritimes.
Ive never had so many doors held for me, drivers stop
so you can pull put of a parking lot. With such a slow pace
people in the maritimes actually care about there fellow man,
Hopefully the rest of canada and the world will learn to take some time in there busy lives and act like a maritimer.
Im kinda partial to New Brunswick, Lived there for 26 years, now living in Montreal.
As much as I love Montreal, I will always be a Maritimer. |

I haven't been to all the provinces, but I can tell you that everywhere I've been the people are nice. |

Quebec! Montreal city especially so... you need to go in with an attitude that you will at least attempt some French and your mistakes will be forgiven, insisting on speaking English in any non anglophone country would be considered rude so you have to expect similar rules to apply here. |

There is a field to most them all.
I think that Cape Brettoners (Nova Scotia) are some of the friendiest people I've ever met.. Newfies are friendly too but they have a roougher exterior more hardy.. the bretonners I've met seem more peer friendly. But I've had little exposure to people of different provinces..My biggest blank is Saskatchwan though... it is a mysterious land that I NEVER hear about - almost as if it doesn't exist.. |
