We've driven most of the way. We went from Vancouver Island to Toronto - it took us 9 days (taking our time); and then we took a vacation to Quebec City a couple of years later. The Prairies were boring. The most interesting thing we saw there were the cows traveling single-file in a huge pasture. Honestly. The Rockies were spectacular though.

I live right in the middle of Canada. I have driven from here to the west coast. Its an unbelievably long and boring trip through the prairie provinces. I really wouldn't want to try driving all the way across Canada. It would probably take a week of steady early morning to late evening driving.

Calgary Alberta to Nova Scotia many many (at least8) times and I've been to BC also. It can be done in 3.5 days if you only stop for gas, food and 6 hours sleep. For an enjoyable drive take at least 5 days.If your planning a trip you'll love it but take your time there's a lot to see
