It depends who you talk to...but IMHO...

Pierre Trudeau. Even when you didn't agree with what he said or stood for; you had to respect the fact he stood up for himself and Canadians no matter what. He had balls (the crises in Quebec "Just watch me!") and class (the red rose on his lapel)

The man had charisma along with his "faults" and "strengths" as a man and politician.

Trudeau ruined our country. John A Macdonald is the best PM we've ever had and Harper's doing a pretty good job so far.

Daniel C
I liked the one known for talking to dead people and thinking they answered him. (Mackenzie King?)

He seemed suited to the role of politician in Canada anyway. According to Stephen Leacock in "Sunshine Sketches of a Little Town" Canadians favour leaders who are as goodly and as dull as posts as possible.

Trudeau ruined our country and gave us the Royal Solute when he left.
PETRO Canada always stood for-
Pierre Elliott Trudeau Rips Off Canada
(Boy, was that putting it mildly!)
John A Mac Donald was the best PM.
I never thought I would like Steve Harper, he is proving him self in doing a pretty good job so far.

Trudeau by far. If you lived through the October Crisis you`d think so too.

Stephen Harper? Are you kidding me? This just goes to show how Canada is becoming more Americanized as the years go on. I'd say Trudeau or Pearson. We didn't even have a constitution before Trudeau. Everytime a new law was introduced, it had to get approved by the Briish Parliament. Plus, Trudeau really made Quebec the place it is rather than the place it would have become without him.

I would have to go with Pierre Trudeau. He brought the consitution to Canada and put Canada on the international scene.
