Who was the mayor of Toronto in the 90's who called in the army to shovel snow?

i think it was Mel Lastman

The mayor gained national attention after multiple snowstorms, including the Blizzard of 1999, dumped 118 cm of snow and effectively closed the city.[2] Mel Lastman proceeded to have the Canadian Forces (Army) aid in helping to shovel snow, and use their equipment to augment police and emergency services. The move was ridiculed by some in other parts of the country fuelled in part by traditional anti-Toronto sentiments

short shrimp
That would be Mel Lastman.

yaska
Can't remember his name right now but its the one with the stupid ad on TV with his son where they say "No Body" advertising their appliance stores. Now I remember its Mel Lastman.
