Hey. I live in a very small town on an Island connected to Nova Scotia called Cape Breton.
People are just very friendly because everything is more laid back, we live in areas where it's quiet, and pretty.
I love it here, and I think most Canadians love to be Canadians. :)

Good question, Amy, I think I have an answer.
I currently live in a small town in Ontario, grew up in Toronto, and I learned one thing when I moved away from the big city...you escape the coldness that is generally associated with living in one of the largest cities in Canada.
Canada is much smaller than the United States, we have a very diverse immigrant population, many of whom came from small towns, and countries, for that matter, to settle in Canada.
I have travelled to the United States, and to Europe in the past, I have never encountered anyone unfriendly in my travels, but I think that Canadians are generally a little more reserved by nature, hence we are perceived as friendlier. |
