Because Canada is so much more European in it's approach to situations and their overall culture. Most Americans, particularly the republicans enjoy ridiculing this. |

You're listening to Fox News? |

Personally, I don't care what Fox news has to say but it does bother me that there are people who actually believe that drivel. I really can't comment on it all though without making it sound like I'm generalizing and that would mean I'm stooping to the level of some in the US so I won't lower myself that way. I guess, regardless of the people involved and their nationality, there are always going to be those with simple minds and boorish attitudes. |

I don't think most Americans think the bad manners through. They can be very nasty to their own, too.
Canadians are used to jokes about them, less or more unpleasant, and don't worry about it.
I'm waiting for some American jokes about the Canadian economy.... |

I don't think we should get upset about this. Yes, it was very rude and highly inappropriate. But I don't care what some late-night TV wing-nut comedian says.
My respect for the Canadian military and my pride as a Canadian is not influenced by ridiculous American nonsense. |

We don't even trust anything that comes from FOX News. Don't believe what they tell you!
We don't hate Canadians, some just like to poke fun, more in a friendly manner, it's not meant to be personal.
About 9/11...... thanks for taking in the displaced Americans, Many Americans WOULD do the same, yes, even for the Canadians. It's happened before.
When the southern coast got hit with hurricane katrina, people were taking the displaced people in, all over the country. This sort of thing is not uncommon for people here, to take in others who got stuck in a bad situation and need a place to go. |

If I recall properly last year Fox reported that Canada had legalized cocaine.
I mean.
It's not very accurate, reliable, informative or correct news. Making fun of Canada because they don't want to reflect on the damage that they've inflicted on the middle east and other regions and the sons and fathers they've lost in Iraq. It's petty. It's a little rude. But it's to be expected. Fox and its followers are better at pointing the blame and directing attention elsewhere than actually DEALING with the issues. |

from my experience I tend to believe most Americans are more envious of our way of life, FOX is entertainment that's all. |

Americans don't understand canada.
Most americans just cant seem to get the simple ideas of free healthcare, clean water and less guns=less violence into their heads. |

Just how did Fox News ridicule Canada? Honestly, a lot of Canadians need to relax and not take everything so seriously. Many people on here get so upset when it is OBVIOUS that someone is kidding around and trying to get a response out of someone. What comes around goes around. Canadians constantly bash the USA while watching American TV and movies, listening to American music, and buying American products. I can ask the same question: why do Canadians have a problem with Americans? |
