Well, they don't. However, many believe all Canadians can speak French. I have lived in Western Canada my whole life, and the number of people I know who speak French is very small. Regrettably, I wish I were bi-lingual. |

Most americans I know don't even know that there is part of the country that speaks french. Assume it is all english like the US.
Don't know of any american who thinks all canadians are french, either. |

i dono, i mean some dont even know theres a part that speaks french, some know that its only one part, and some think the hole country speaks french. as for an education system, well americans dont typically care about any one else, so they dont care to learn about other countrys. although its not limited to america i was talking to a brit, and i told him i was from canada and he asked how i knew english so well, cuz he thought we all spoke french..(but he was 14 so.... lol) |
