There is no market as of yet in other countries. I know it is in Canada and the States and a temporary one in Afghanistan.

Found this on the site

"What if I am interested in an International franchise outside of Canada and the United States?

The TDL Group Corp. has completed its own internal research on international markets and from this we have determined that our immediate development plans are to concentrate on continued growth in Canada and the United States. As such, we are not prepared to entertain applications or proposals for anywhere outside of North America."

Basically there is a bigger market in Canada and the States at this point in time, so they are concentrating on that.

well, they do have restaurants in America, but only a tiny bit, (less than 300 i think). I'm not sure why. maybe they dont think it will profit them (dunk'n donuts, crispy cream, and Starbucks all huge competitors). also maybe they dont want it to end up being owned by Americans (American investors)

Not true. As of July 2005, there were over 260 Tims in the US.

It's not true....As of July 2007, there are over 340 Tim Hortons locations in the United States. These are primarily situated in (and the areas surrounding) Buffalo, Rochester (New York), Detroit, Flint, Saginaw, Bay City, Midland (Michigan), Columbus, Dayton, Toledo (Ohio), Erie (Pennsylvania), Charleston, Huntington, Wheeling (West Virginia), Maine, Rhode Island and Connecticut.

Future expansion and opportunities will continue in the above listed markets for the next several years, in addition to new expansion areas of Richmond (Indiana), Lansing (Michigan) and Syracuse (New York).

Hope this helps

You are incorrect in your assumption. There are Tim Horton's franchises in the US, as other posters have indicated. Here is a link that will get you started on a franchise if you are interested.
