Because. Its canada, really peaceful. Its a multi-cultured place, unlike some rude Americas on yahoo answers are saying.

We are also really nice people.

Why stay in Baltimore? Why not try and learn about the world a bit, and visit other cultures....

Why not?

It all depends on what you are looking for, and where you are from. I've enjoyed travelling and seeing different parts of the world, including many US states, UK, France, and Africa.

If you are from the USA, you can get to see another country where they speak English, have a slightly different culture, and there are many things to do that you may not do in your own neck of the woods.

If you want to experience another language (French) and a taste of Europe without spending seven hours flying there, you go to Montreal or Quebec City and it won't cost an arm and a leg.

The cities are relatively safe. There are no bombs going off every day. People are not kidnapped on the streets. Canadians are generally very helpful and respectful to the tourists. All of these things make Canada a great place to visit and a nice place to live, at least for me. I still feel safe going out at night and walking around the city after dark, riding the subway or city bus, and yes some of us still don't always lock our doors and windows when we go to bed.

A lot of young Americans go for the weed and lower drinking age.

Because its an awesome place and you know it.

For the friendly people, magnificent scenery, awesome food, majestic coastline, for the diversity, multicultural atmosphere, for the safe, clean, relatively crime free environment, for the standard of living, the health care, the education system, the northern lights, and so much more. Come and see for yourself. You'll be made to feel welcome.

Cheap drugs. Also, if you're an MD with 20 years experience, you can immigrate to Canada and scrub their filthy toilets.
