its because they are hatterz, racist and hate the fact that canadian peoples just live they life better then the south park
asking young adults to stop poking fun is like asking the blizzard to stop snowing.
it will happen no matter what. it will come and go as it pleases.
its true, kids can be very, very cruel.
most kids who choose to make fun of others, regardless of what they're making fun of-- acne, disability, difficulty in school, or learning, the kids that choose to make fun of these problems are drawing attention away from their own problems. everyone doubts themselves to one degree or another.
everyone has problems just the same, because everyone is a human being.
you bleed, i bleed, and every single person that ever made fun of you bleeds the same human blood too. every single person that has blood pumping through their veins has had a problem or a conflict in their life they are not comfortable with, and do not want to talk about.
rather than waiting for the subject to come up, they will go out of their way, to pick and exploit something that someone else is obviously not comfortable about.
people dont just get made fun of because of acne. its so much bigger than that.
people get made fun of because they are fat, because they are too skinny, because they dont have any friends, because they are poor, because they dont wear nice clothes, because they dont have a cell phone, there are a million reasons! (many of them are so petty, and cruel.)
you are only looking at one piece of this giant jigsaw puzzle. take the piece of your puzzle, and stand up for all kids at your school or community who feel unwanted, for whatever reason.
you are a wonderful example, and have become the perfect person to stand up for those that have been made fun of their entire life. teach others what you have learned! stand up with and for those who have not stood up for themselves yet!!
teach others that there are always people out there who are going to be mean, and rude about what is wrong, and can never look at what is right.
you can spend your whole life letting it bother you, and ruin everything, or you can turn around, and stop it all in its tracks, by letting go of it all, and find it in yourself to get back some of your self esteem. it comes from inside you. you are the most important key to your success.
its true, names do hurt. yeah, yeah "sticks and stones", and all that. but names really do hurt.
Racism is one of the most revolting things within the vicinity of humanity. It haunts our past, many times degrading the future. The causes of racism aren't known to the majority of humans living on earth, however, a good fraction of them express it. In order to cure racism, or at least minimize its affects on humanity, we have to examine the root causes. What are the possible causes of racism? Why are some people racist? Where does racism come from? Some of these questions can be answered here:
Stereotypes
One of the most common causes of racism is stereotypes. Through television, through radio, through the internet, through music, through books, and the like, the potential for stereo types to build are a definite possibility. When a person, especially one that is very young, is exposed to stereotypes of a specific group for the first time, then that person will assume all are that way. Likewise, when a source is constantly displaying negative things about a particular race, then that will affect the overall opinions as well.
Unfamiliarity
Another very common, and probably the most common cause of racism is unfamiliarity. People fear what they do not know or understand. If someone hasn't grown up around a particular race before, then there is more of a chance the person can be racist toward that particular group. Not all the time, but when the person has already been fed negative stereotypes, and does not have the actual real life experiences with at least one within the particular group, then the chances of racism are increased. This is why it is important for children to be around other races at a young age: to ensure they get their minds used and adapted to being around them, and also to help counterbalance any false stereotypes they may encounter in the future.
