because it has everything you'd ever want. an ocean, lakes, mountains, wide open country for miles and miles. it's very laidback, people there know how lucky they are to be living in such a naturally beautiful place and they respect it. it's not a province filled with big cities, it's got a couple big good sized ones and then lots of small towns and lots of in betweeny sized towns. there's nothing bad to say about it. it's the most beautiful place in the world.

no.
I open my door and i see a mountain. It's very warm in the summer and was +8 degrees the other day (in January). Where I live is also very dog friendly.
I am from the flatness of Alberta and am still completely amazed by the mountains and lakes. Also all the wild life you see on the highways.

For me its all about geography. I adore mountians, and I love the fact that in between Vancouver and Jasper, one drives through no less than five mountian ranges, with their own unique characteristics and ecosystems. I love having the ocean close by.

Because of the proximity to the ocean, we benefit from having one of the largest ports in Canada, bringing us fresh fruit and veggies throughout the year and relatively low prices.

I don't live there, but I wish I did. I've been there 4 times-in 1986 to the World Expo, in 1989 to Victoria, in 1993 to Yoho,Mt.Robson and Kootenay Parks in The Rockies, and again in 2000 to Vancouver. BC is a beautiful province! Gorgeous mountains, lush farmland, lakes, waterfalls, forests, the ocean, cosmopolitan cities, nice parks, you name it! Plus, southwestern BC has Canada's most temperate climate. And the people are friendly too! Can't beat that!

Well, I live in BC right now, and I'll say..
-It's really beautiful here depending on where you are.
-I'm not sure where you are, but most people are nice and helpful.
-Umm... winter+snow?
-Olympics!
:/

Ha, I actually don't know, but yeah, most people come here for the scenery, mountains, shopping, oh, and the Olympics!

I have never been there, but I hear that it is a very beautiful place.

Well... it's not, unless you can afford to drop 3/4's of a million on a house. Or if you don't mind renting for your entire life. Or if you're lucky enough to already be IN the housing market.

Of course I'm talking about Vancouver, though many other areas of the province are seeing insane rises in housing costs as well, unless you go north.

But it is a beautiful province. I LOVE it here - been living here 6.5 years. But I'll never be able to buy a house unless I move north.

I was lived in Burnaby,Surrey and Downtown Vancouver.
There're many immigration live in great Vancouver, multiculture and has lots of delicious food.
Climate there usually is good, people are friendly, nature scenery attracts people............. brah brah

I lived there and found it so beautiful. It does have a soul but its so damn expensive that is the issue. I couldnt afford a home there and I am used to living where I can afford one. Car insurance is out to lunch totally, food is more expensive all round. But how I miss those mountains the oceans and Stanley Park

Well, as many other people have said...there is beautiful nature every where you look...Mountains, lakes, forests, the ocean ect ect
But we also have the cosmopolitan cities...which are surrounded by beautiful mountains!

I'd like to think that we are pretty liberal and open-minded too!!

Minimum wage is $8/hr...(I thought that we had one of the highest minimum wages in Canada but I just checked at it's actually a bit lower than many provinces)...

I hate our provincial gov't....they cut cut cut services for lower income people and those in need...

AND, housing is soooooooooo expensive...it's crazy and sad and depressing ...I'll probably never be able to buy a house here in Victoria :-(

But I still love it here...lol...

It's not...........................

It's not. Like most places, it has pros and cons. While it does offer nice scenery, it lacks soul, fashion sense, and decent pubs.
