Why is Canada so tough on USA males mating Canadian females?

It's like even posing the question becomes an immediate jump to conclusion by Canadian customs that "oh you're trying to get into the country, our women are not property, if they find you doing this, you'll never be allowed into Canada even with a passport!"

But then again, there's also such a thing as a nice caring American guy who meets a Canadian girl who shares the same joys and passions in life, and they love Canadian things and they eventually fall in love and if they love each other dearly, then even if the customs keeps checking up on them every 5 days to see if they're really in love, that would be a relationship enhancer!

I'm just saying there has to be a fine line somewhere. You can't immediately judge the intention of an American guy or girl who may actually LOVE someone over the border, lol. Canadians can relate, what if you fell in love with an American?

And then

I meant dating. But anyways I got once temporarily refused entry at Pembina, North Dakota/Emerson, Manitoba border. That's the famous border where William McDougall was also refused entry by Louis Riel in 1869. (I was refused because a friend of the opposite sex who I was contemplating visiting, startled customs about whether the purpose of my trip was leisure travel, and it was bizarre. They then called the girl who confirmed we're just online friends and that I had no relationship with this girl except friend/penpal.)

You were in Newfoundland drinking Screech again this week end, weren't you?? Gotta watch that stuff - it burns holes in cast iron pots!!

I have been crossing the border for decades and never ever been questioned about my personal life. "Business or Pleasure Ma'am?" is what it was until 9/11 and now the paranoia is palatable so here is one frequent visitor who does not go there anymore. I had no idea it was the same in reverse. Hmmm!! Learn something new everyday!

Perhaps American paranoia provokes answers that are suspect. Why would anyone tell a border guard the details of their private life? Whatever happened to innocent answers like, "Going to play a few rounds of golf with my buddies." or "Visiting friends I haven't seen for a while"? Who, in their right mind says"Going to find a wife so I can sneak into Canada?" or "I am in the mood to copulate and thought I would do that in Canada with a Canadian?" Dating or mating, why even bring it up? There are not too many dumb girls who are waiting for American husbands and who are sitting at the border waiting with baited breath to pick one off - or at least I hope not! I would hate to see that my fellow sisters had sunk THAT low. And if any have, why would a smart American man come setting himself up like that? It's not as if either country were a war zone and refugees are willing to do anything to get out of one place or the other? Or have I missed something in the past few years??

Think I will go have a shot of Screech to sooth my shattered nerves! ROFLOL

No one objects to people falling in love and marrying Canadians.

We strongly object to people searching for Canadians to marry so they can come here.

I'm sure you don't approve of Canadians who go "mate-hunting" in the USA so they can Immigrate. I'm sure it happens but it's really not right, is it?

If you believe a relationship is mating and that is what you are stating no wonder you are being told you cannot enter Canada. If you were serious about this person and relationship you wouldn't call it something that animals do.

mating?
are we talking about monkeys on the discover channel here?

Canada customs doesn't check up on peoples sex lives. Immigration officials do check up if people get married to make sure it's a real marriage and not just an attempt to trick them. They're just doing their jobs. Canadian bureaucrats aren't known for freaking out about things. I think the problem is in your imagination.
