Why is it that all the Canadians want to move to the USA and Americans don't want to move to Canada?

I'm american and I plan on going to Canada with a student visa once I graduate from highschool. and they did a poll in readers digest. only about 8% of canadians would move here if they could.

I am Canadian, and proud of it. I have no interest in moving the the US. There are Canadians that do move to the US, but we have many Americans that have moved to Canada as well. There are also many Americans who are just as proud and happy to live in the US as I am proud and happy to live in Canada.
The question is stupid and meaningless, and is only meant to foment dissent.

WoW! That's quite a statement you've made. Can you provide actual evidence to support what you're saying, or is that just your uninformed opinion?

What's with the Canada bashing?
Most Americans who comment on anything that has to do with Canada don't know the first thing about it. Any US citizen who moves to Canada is welcomed so we deserve some respect. Personally, I haven't heard that there is a mass exodus to the States. I think that's a huge exaggeration.

I have never wanted to move to the US. It seems like a nice place, but unfortunately it's full of Americans.

pssh I'd never move to the states not for all the tea in China, if I want to live in a western culture I'll do it at home. There are Zero general benefits, no health care, higher crime on average in large cities, much larger gang problems, highly unstable economy, dare I go on?

You must be incredibly ignorant. I haven't heard of many Canadians wanting to move to America but I have heard of many Americans (such as myself) who want to move to Canada.
In a way it is rude and arrogant people like you that make me want to move to a more educated country.

Even though I am British and proud. I would never in my life move to America. Britain is great.. Free health. Free higher education. LOWER crime rates than America. We also have a very good military. Anyway your question is so ******* arrogant.

Umm I think you're a little confused...most Canadians would NEVER want to move to the USA...what a horrible excuse for a country...Americans don't want to move to Canada because we know that Americans are really just lazy, self indulging idiots! At least in USA you can blend in with the crowd

Wouldn't want any part of US life and never spend a dime on your side of the border.Our girls look much better and are not fat and hamburger grown. We still have your Vietnam draft dodgers living here and they don't seem to want to leave. We also have plenty of Americans living in Canada who ran away from slavery. They don't want to go back. Canada is heaven and USA is well you know.

Because it's exciting in the USA. And actually, people do move from the states to Canada. It does happen. But it's to RETIRE in their slow-moving country. Slam-bang.

cause Canadians know that Canada is so BOOOOring and will never be on the world stage the way the US is, they feel inferior to Americans and would rather be Americans than Canadians.

Americans only want to move to Canada when something bad happens to the US and even then they don't move, now with America back on the world stage in such a big way, no American wants to move.

Nobody wants republicans anyway so they won't move.
