Honestly, there's not very many jobs in Winnipeg. The city is very old compare to other cities in Canada. The winter weather is extremely cold. It could go down to -40 C. The summer is really hot, humid and not to mention mosquitoes are as big as butterlies. On the the hand, real estate in Winnipeg is really affordable (if you have a full time job). |

Yes, it is a good place to live. Cost of living, especially housing, is still reasonable, we have winter good for snowmobilers and skiers, and summers good for campers and swimmers, museums, parks, shopping, clubs, you name it.
Come on, Ed, admit it, if Winnipeg wasn't a good place to live, wouldn't your friends be smart enough to move? |

I like it. Cost of living is good, Jobs arent too hard to find, in general people are nice, and for the person that said watch the grass grow in the summer, yeahh he may be right, if you live OUTSIDE the city. Just like any city, it depends on the area you are in. Like all major cities, there are good ones and ones that arent so good. Its not bad, its not full of bikers as one guy said, it has the problems every city has, when you put 700000 people together, problems will come up. |

Winnipeg is Canada's worst city when it comes to violent crime and auto theft the city is loaded with bikers hookers and thieves not to mention the homeless that live in the down town area and sleep in the fancy hotels and malls. other than that if you like hot in summer cold in winter and nothing to do but swat flies and watch the grass grow you should be right at home . PS Winnipeg is also working on being the murder capital of Canada last year only 2 less than Toronto Montreal and Vancouver so wear your bullet proof underwear in Winnipeg |
