 Is America in Canada?
...

Relax. Let go.

Would Canada be a good place to move to if there was another major depression?

I've heard that other countries would be greatly affected by America having a depression, but I've also heard that as America is doing horrible, Canada is doing better than ever.

I would move to where ever they use the Euro. However you must remember that this is all part of the business cycle. It happens about every 10 years however we managed to avoid it during the turn of the millennium because of the computer.

The Canadian and American dollar are about the same now, so yeah, America isn't doing so well.
But if there was another depression, the whole world would be affecting. Canada not as much, but still, affected. So sure, come on over!

Canada isn't exactly doing great, but its better off since its economy is dependant on commodities.

When the United States has a cold, Canada sneezes !
Since our economy are so related, it won't take long before we get affected here (I'm Canadian, fron Qc). If Americans stop buying our merch, if they stop coming to visit the country, etc..,we sure gonna be affected.

And by the way, what is that stupid answer about "being infected" by socialism ? It's pretty cool to go to the school and to the hospital for free isn't ?

MelissA
The girl above me has obviously been neatly brainwashed by her whitewashed American education. It's "hear", not 'here.' And why is the middle east such a hard sell when it's supposedly going 'great?' Infected by socialism? That's a nice bit of right-wing propaganda you have there.

Canada will be affected by the economic slowdown. Prices are going up, and likely, everywhere in Canada will be affected. It is usually wise to move (or stay in) the cities.

Canada is deeply tied th the US economically. My wife's family (All Canadian) watch the US closely as does my mom's side (also Canadian). Where we go, they'll ultimately follow to greater or lesser degree.

Keep in mind, Canada has about 35 million people, about the size of California. About 1 million Canadians live in California, wonder why?!? Try higher quality employment prospects here, decidely better winters help as well.

Canada is also highly socialized. I'd really be afraid to see what happens when the public care system finds itself strapped through decreased tax income. It's already on the edge.

My advice to you is to cash atleast 100 dollars in silver or quarters. The value of the dollar goes up and down. If you get your cash value in silver, it is a definite value tradable across the world (although the prices of silver to rise and fall, but you may be better off).

As for me I am already broke. I have about 150 dollars which I will be spending for this and that.

Good luckl

no they have already been infected with socialism. and were did you here that America is doing horrible. our economy is still growing, it is just growing at a slower pace. and we are doing great in the middle east.
