No one would ever want to do this. Why would we want Denmark anyways? We have more useless land than we need already.

You are overlooking the fact that the average Canadian doesn't give a bleep about Hans Island. It's just a chunk of bare rock. People in Toronto already think the whole country is called "Toronto". The rest of us would strongly disagree. So, the answer is NO.

We could have invaded and conquered Hans Island when the Danes were tied up over the cartoon hysteria. To our credit, we didn't.

The deal was made in Denmark, on a dark and stormy day.
So they set out for Biafra, to join the bloody fray.

So I'd say you need to sweeten the deal for the Congolese and it should all fall into place.

No thanks, you can keep hans Island. After all, with a name like Hans its got to be Denmarks. Anyways soon enough Greenland will want to be autonomous from Denmark and Denmark tired of forking over money to support them so they will take Hans with them in the end anyways.
Toronto is a nice enough city and all but no thanks to the idea of renaming Canada which is Toronto x 1000

I guess I could ask about Hans Island to see if it was worth it but then I would basically be putting a price on my integrity so I would say, "No! Shove your stinking island up your Kraut a--, your worthless ______!" Well actually, I'd say it diplomatically like in the Battle of the Bulge: "Nuts!" (I read somewhere he actually wrote "Balls."

Then those of us who were born in Montreal and love the place we were born in and our hockey team will send you a rope and directions to a nearby tree so you can go hang yourself. Actually I see donations coming in as I type from Vancouver and Calgary and Winnipeg and Halifax - Lord they are coming in so fast and furious I cannot keep up - all offering to pay for the rope. God! I do love this country, Canada and so, apparently, do millions of others.

Nah, it probably be too much trouble. If they got a HUGE amount of land, then maybe. But if they did, I think they should turn Quebec into a country called Montreal, and have it separate.
