Conservatives in Canada are far far FAR more Liberal than you think, at least compared to the Republicans in America.
So Obama's Canadian-born clone, with the same exact views as the original American-born, although he's a dem, would actually probably be running for Conservative.
But Obama and Harper are wayyy better than Dion lol
Because they have plans
(Well Harper definitely had a plan from the beginning, not Obama until now when his CHANGE policy now have to be redefined)
Ohmygodd though, if I was a Canadian, I'd so choose the Prime Minister over the President-Elect (although since I'm from america, I actually choose Obama, especially since he just picked Hillary Clinton as his Secretary of state, whom I'm a big supporter)
I'm moving to Canada soon though, so YAY lol

For one thing Elizabeth May is not even part of the government, her party didn't even win a seat. And for Canadians picking Obama over Harper. It would be Obama. The rest of Canada thinks Obama is 'God like' and Harper is a greedy little swine, yet if you read up on their policies they are damn near identical. That's why people aren't listening to Harper when he says Canada is in better shape than everyone thinks. He's got a masters degree in economics for Christ's sake. And the fact Obama wants to invade Pakistan and Harper wants the troops out of Afghanistan in 2011, with Obama in power now, that is unlikely to happen. Im not about to say Obama is the same, but think about it, the only reason Hitler got into power, is because of the way could charismatically deliver a speech.

sure if he had a good plan, unlike Dion, Layton, May etc....and other than the BQ plan to destroy Canada....Harper is the only one with any kind of plan

I would pick Harper over Obama.

what experience does Obama have to deal with anything? He was a community organizer in Chicago... the only reason he got voted in is becuase the other guy wasn't much better than the previous president, and he was the first African-American candidate that could speak with charisma. Charisma is the ONLY reason Obama got in.

I like to rest my vote with someone that will have a good shot at leading effectivley.... not becuase of his/her colour, gender, or orator abilities.

I would certainly vote for Obama over Harper, but then again I voted Dion over Harper & given the chance, I'd vote for Dion's dog over Harper. I just don't trust that man.
