Would Canadians watch this American movie?

do they actually keep people there for a whole weekend??! if he doesn't even make it into Canada, that would be kindof anti climactic wouldn't it.
the idea is funny, I've seen people in August with skiis strapped to their roof looking for mountains.

If he were to make it in though, which they probably would let him in, they'd be laughing that's for sure. But it would be funny if he just kept his mindset that toronto is some sort of wilderness after seeing it and just took everything the wrong way. Like a beavertail stand or something. Blackout's like the one several years ago are extreemly uncommon.

I'm just wondering, are you canadian and have you been to toronto?

Personally I despise such stereotypes regarding Canada and it would be a movie that I would avoid. In my experience, movies that play on that theme are better when they are made by a Canadian, someone with an intimate understanding of the humour behind it rather then someone just trying to be funny.

just a couple of suggestions:
1) change the title to "It's not really that cold here, Eh"
2) the guy has to have a lot more misadventures than just getting razzed at the border. My problem is that he is going to notice that there isn't any snow real quick and that it is really warm. How about he crosses the border at night but we still have the problem of no snow. For this I would suggest that there is a movie SFX shoot going on at the border and they've sprayed the whole area with fake snow.
3)he tells the border guard that he is going to camp out at Queen's Park and he should ask if there is any problems with bears in the park.
4) when he realises that there isn't any snow or cold he asks people where it is and they keep telling him up north. He could keep going north and running into all sorts of misadventures the skys the limit.
