It all depends where you want to live in Canada. I live in Ontario. Things are not as great as they used to be in terms of health care and such but then again, I also live up North where all the beauty is. So it all depends on what you are looking for. I'm sure you will miss the constant sun and overwhelming heat EVERY day but you'll probably get more into the greatest sport in the world (hockey) which alone I would say is worth it. |

Dean c i live in Canada and have never waited longer than 2 weeks for an MRI
and if its urgent it is done immediately
Ive never waited to see a doctor nor to have i waited for the surgery Ive needed, same goes for all my family
and i am not Canadian! just a resident
sure the staff are over worked but the quality of care is great
i think every American should watch SICKO
and Canada doesn't have gun slinging citizens roaming free, the Canadians are warm welcoming people and life here is pretty damn good! |

For one thing, you can't just move to Canada. There is lots of paper work involved and if you are American you won't get the benefits of the health care system or lots of other thing the Canadians get. |

i think that you should look at the reasons you want to move and see if Canada has that for you... |

ya, much better. nobody burns the canadian flag, and they have free, universal healthcare. that means going to the doctor's office and getting surgery is free. |

Well to all those naysayer Americans--strange that the UN keeps ranking Canada as one of the best countries in the world to live in, while the US doesn't even rank in the top 3. So we must be doing something right. |

Look, IF HITLARy gets anywhere near the White House again, the majority of Americans will either be moving to Canada or Mexico. |

I live in Canada, sure it's great but you have to think of reasons. For one thing canada's climate is alot diffrent from Florida's it can be -30C in the winter and +30C in the summer. We do have free health care but wait time is longer. As for schooling it's pretty much the same. So untimatly the choice is yours. |

You should go to Cuba, it's so close to Florida and health care is free there also.
And if you put a lot of faith in Michael Moore's assessment of what's better for you, then you should stay in Cuba. |

you have to understand that everywere you go will be the same. every place you see will claim to be better, but it's all lies. you will probally be better off right were you are. |

i have a friend in Canada who says the health care isn't all that it's cracked up to be. and if you want to move from florida think about texas which is income tax free. look it up.or you could just appreciate Florida and make the best of it. |

Your first problem is watching anything Michael Moore produced and taking it as fact. If you want to go to a place where it take months or even years to get simple tests and procedures done, Then move to Canada. People have died waiting to get a catscan or an MRI in Canada.
Talk to some Canadians and find out why do THEY come to the US to get procedures done that they can't get there. |

michale moron is just pushing his agenda we might have a somewhat faulghy health care system but it is one of the best in the world. did you know the ambassador of canada came here for medical treatment when he got ill. people are breaking into america so we must be doing something right |

There's lots of good things about the Canadian healthcare system, but you may have to wait months to see a doctor. And the taxes up there are ridiculous!
If you're considering moving to Canada, you should probably have a more compelling reason. |

What they neglect to tell you is that health care is free....but crappy in many cases. My brother lives in the UK where there is also "free" health care. He knows a man who had to sit on a waiting list for 6 months to get tests to determine whether he had cancer or not, and by the time he found out he had it, it was too late to cure it.
And no, you don't HAVE to wait for health care....if you have money. If you're going to need money, you might as well be here in the US where it's not free, but world class.
People like Michael Moore show you one side because he wants you to think a certain way. Do the research for yourself to find out what the real situation is. |
