Would you move from the USA to Canada? Why or why not?

If you are a hardcore fundamentalist rightwing religious fanatic, you would be much happier in the U.S. where you would be surrounded by like-minded people. If you want to live and let live, then you would be happier in Canada. Your call.

Ofcourse! Canada is the greatest country in the world!

(haha) hailey (xo)☆
i have travelled to many places in the US and i am happy to call Canada home. I love Canada.

I'd absolutely recommend it.

Although you're going to find the same problems REGARDLESS of where you go, I'd still like to think that Canada has statistically LESS of them.

i think it would be cool to visit with a work visa or something for a few months. I don't think any country is the greatest country on earth, because greatness is in the eye of the citizen (which is a very biased view).

I would move from Canada to the US.

Here's why:

Canada is a more progressive country.

Canada is bilingual.

In Canada you can legally drink at age 18 in Quebec province and I believe at 19 in Ontario and other Canadian provinces.

Canadians are less competitive than Americans.

There are alot of green spaces in Canada.

Canada has a higher standard of living (I believe it ranks as one of the top countries to live in by the UN).

Canada is known for sending peacekeepers throughout the world.

Maple syrup.

Hockey.

Canada has medicare.

The transportation in the big cities is pretty decent.

I don't know if you are interested in higher education or if you have or plan on having kids but; have you seen the difference between American universities tuition and Canadian universities tuition? Canada's is WAY more affordable.

Canada has some of the world's top universities; McGill University, University of British Columbia (UBC) etc...

The list can go on...

For the record, I'm not even biased as I'm neither Canadian or American.

Yes. Why? Mentality.

Our health system is SO much better! Just recently I found out that countries like the US have to pay for every small thing that's health related! I've never been so shocked. My brother just had some things done for FREE, and my mom said they would cost well over $50,000 in the US.

Canada is also more peaceful, clean, and...fresher I guess. I know driving through the US isn't like driving through BC. I'm referring to Vancouver more specifically, I haven't really left the south of BC haha.

I have thought about it, but for the next stage of my life I would like to immerse myself in a foreign culture for a few years, and while I love Canada it's not "different enough" for that purpose. But maybe once I've gotten that foreign immersion out of my system, I might like to live there.

America and Canada are both really great for many different reasons, and I am very happy with calling Canada my home. A strong dollar, fabulous restaurants from coast to coast, unbeatable hospitality, GREAT job oppurtunities, especially in the North, a perfect balance between the Urban Jungle and the Wild, beautiful, pristine lakes (Except in Ontario.. But nobody wants to live there anyways ;) ) perfect for fishing and swimming, nice weather (Unless your planning to move to the prairies, which is really the only area of Canada that manages to hold onto that "COOOOOOOOOOOOOOOLD" stereotype, not to mention it's WAY too hot in the summer, often topping 100 Farenheit). Three provinces and territories have really inspired me to stand by them.

BC and Nova Scotia - Where I've lived all my life (BC, anyways, but I've had the pleasure of spending lots of time with relatives in Nova Scotia). Beautiful, low-crime cities with lakes and mountain resorts nearby, Mild, warm weather year round, lots of fun city events will keep you happy year round, and much more. If you want to experience Canada at it's best, strongly consider moving to one of these provinces.

Northwest Territories - Sure the winters are harshly cold, but the summers are sunny and warm, and the lakes are tops for swimming and fishing. You'll never meet more hospitable people anywhere. Yellowknife in particular is a very government-based city, so there's a very nice little skyline (Although I will say that some housing areas could use a bit of upgrading). Amazing job oppurtunities, breathtaking scenery, and kind people await you in NWT. You may even pick up a bit of local native language!

Give moving to Canda a lot of thought. One of my best friends is originally from the USA, and he misses some things about his homeland, but he's found a lot to love about Canada, too.

Canada is a country, which made it into the 21 century, the USA is stuck in the 18th century and whats left of its former might is an overwhelming military, nobody can afford.
It's still an economical giant, but a sick one, very very sick.

chrisgallo
If you don't mind being TAXED TO DEATH and having billions given to every snivelling b.s. victim group. Other than that and the cooler climate it's a good place to live but many places in the U.S. are as good or better.

We pay for health care here. Our money is prettier, were more peaceful. We have alot of beavers and moose.

If you think Canada is better,Please go ahead move to Canada.
I'll tell you there is no country like USA. Canada is very cold.less
job or business opportunity and except few cities there isn't much to look at it.I know many people love to come to USA from
Canada if they can but it isn't easy as used to be.What country
in the world ever given and still giving opportunity to immigrants as America does ? There is no perfect countries but America is
truly blessed by GOD.Please move to any countries for a year and then compare to America.
