Would you support this move?

Replacing the portrait of Sir John A. Macdonald on the $10 with a portrait of Jean Chretien?

No, I wouldn't support that. I would support a stamp commemorating Chretien, but not to replace Sir John A. MacDonald.

SteveN
I'd have to say no.

I don't have anything against Jean Chretien, but Macdonald was one of the founders of Canada and only history will be able to tell us how Chretien will be remembered in years to come.

Did he make Canada a better place? Or were his Liberals as corrupt as people say and caused Canada to lose economic ground in the long run? It is still too soon to tell.

However, I would not be against a series of coins (like they are doing now for the olympic quarters) that would depict all the former prime ministers.

wtf? :S

no..................

Y would u do that????????????

burnsjosh85
no. Sir John A. may have been a bit of a drunk but he was our first Prime Minister and a father of confederation. If we put any prime minister on our money I'd say Pierre Elliot Trudeau since he brought back our constitution from England and created the Bill of Rights and Freedoms.

Liberry
um....NO

NO WAY, however I would support the move to put Brian Mulroney and Jean Chretien pictures on toilet paper. What the heck put Steven Harper on it too (one ply of course) and mabe Stephen Dion's picture on the recycled type.
