40th anniversary in Montego Bay----?

My husband and I spent our honeymoon in Montego Bay, 40 yrs. ago. We want to go back, but not to a total "young clientel" resort. Any suggestions? All-inclusive resort? We are not handi-capped, but wouldn't mind a slower, peaceful pace.

Congratulations on 40 years!! Go to TripAdvisor.com and you can research every resort on the island. Type in Montego Bay in the search area and resorts around there will be available to review. Check out the resort amenities. It sounds like you want a relaxing resort (as opposed to a fun one or a romantic one). You can learn a LOT from that website. Spend some time looking around and researching. It will be time well spent. Have a great anniversary!

Sandals Inn is by far the quitest resort with the best customer service. And its the least expensive. For somewhere nicer choose Negril.

Congrats on your 40th also. I love Dave's suggestion it is a good one. Another thing you can do is check out the Travel Channel on line.

I would suggest looking for something off the beaten path. Outside of the hustle & bustle of the strip or town life. A resort that has private suites always works too. They are Romantic, slower paced & all inclusive. This way your staying away from all the crowds at a big hotel.

You only sign up for activities you want to do & if you want to go to town for shopping or the night life they will transport you there. Just ask your consierge. <not sure on the spelling.

Good for you! Wow, the changes will be a shock to you I'm sure. While your at tripadvisor go check out sandals Negril. We go every year around Christmas and just love it. We will be celebrating 36 years in July. Yeah us!

You should stay at the half moon resort...im 16 and i went when i was 14 i must say i felt like me and my friends family were the only people there, there were not many people there...it was very peaceful and no crowds what-so-ever...the villas there are so fun you get a maid, butler, and cook and a golf cart to drive yourself around the resort, the beach was fun because there was no one out there at all and you can even go horseback riding i n the ocean you should defiantley stay there

CONGRATULATIONS! it's not often people make it 40 years!

I liked Sandals, and if you prefer quiet, they will make your accommodations fit your desires!

Have fun!
