ATLANTIS Nassau Good place to vacation?

I vacationed in Nassau about four years ago and it was a very nice vacation. Now Nassau and Atlantis are two completely different places. Atlantis is more of a resort/higher class type place where luxury yachts line the water way. Its very beautiful and has an enormous resort with a huge casino, outside water parks, beach access, snorkeling, ETC. Nassau on the other hand is different. There is a bad, ghetto like section right off the main drag. One word advice, STAY ON THE MAIN DRAG!!! I was walking down an alley and was told by a local not to go down that street due to the gangs who dont take too kindly to tourest, and was approached by a local who said he would do ANYTHING for money. lol On the Nassau side local kids are everywhere and bug the crap out of you wanting to sing you a song for a dollar. All in all its a pretty nice place to visit. And FYI if you smoke bring a carton of cigs they are almost $10.00 a pack. I would absolutely visit the and ride the "Booze Cruise" It was about twenty dollars for an all day trip per person. They take you out to snorkel for an hour or so then open up the open bar. They provide lunch and all the rum and jungle juice you can drink. It was good clean fun but no place for children. Have fun and hope it helped.

It's pretty nice and Atlantis is the best hotel and resort in Nassau (my opinion).

But, I must say that if you want to get away from the touristy parts then going to Hope Town, Abaco or Georgetown, Exuma is amazing. The waters are beautiful and some of the beaches haven't been walked on in years.

We had a great time. The only negative is their restaurants are expensive. Be prepared to spend $$$$.

The resort is one of kind and worth the money especially if you can get a deal on rooms.

It is a great place. They have water slides, swim with dolphins. Also super nice restaurants!

ATANTIS is a great place to go to vacation.i went there for my birthday and it was so much fun.i got to swim with dolphins and it was just so FUN.i hope you have a great time.

OMG HELLLLZ YEAH! okay so i went in august of 2005 and i had a blassst! back then i was 10 tho, and i met some random friends who live in boston! i just asked them some Q's about the park and like that we were freinds! stay at the coral towers if your on a budget but i stayed at the royal towers in a suite (we got upgraded for free!) and make sure to go to the dig every day. my fav. place to eat was at the market place or whatever its called. they have a giant buffet with EVERYTHING! evena chocolate fountain with all the fruits and mallows and poundcake and ugh its soooo fun! also there is this other rest. that has like a lobster night every wed. night. ummmmmm go to the lagoon alot and dont be scared to ride the whatchamacal it. (i forgot the name) also you HAVE TO TO TO TO go to the spa! ugh the people are sooo freindly. i give it 5 stars. i think they opened many new things tho since ive been. um its also great for kids 7-up
