Additional Details
I dont think u guys understand the ? we all know that we have african ancestors but i wasn't asking that i was talking about the dance stlyes of the jamaican dancers like stacy, beenie johnhype, nuh bathe, kieva mad michelle, thier dance styles were already done back in 2005 by a group call the african hip hop. dance stles like boogle and butterfly is original

We didnt 'steal' anything...these dances are merely an adaptation which goes back to the history of our culture.

those moves have been passed down for generations. they characterize the essence of jamaican movement- the movements of ancestors culminated with that of their descendants. its just reminiscent of our culture.

bombastic
The majority of Caribbean people, including Jamaicans are the descendants of slaves. Therefore, it should not come as a surprise that there are similarities to the various African styles as it relates to food, music, language art and dance. In fact, many of the foods and some words in Jamaican patois come directly from West Africa. Haitians and Jamaicans still maintain a lot of their African roots. It would be silly to say Jamaicans steal dances from Africa. Africa is embedded in the culture even though some people are unaware of it. After all, if Jamaicans were to steal, who should they steal from....the Europeans? If they were playing bagpipes and doing an Irish jig some people would still find reason to criticize.

it in our history which we learn from back in the days

smart guy
we didn't steal (teef) any thing those were passed on to us and all we did was upgrade them a little so that they can match to the beat off the music that they are performed in plz next time get your facts straight.

jamaican babe
It is a part of our culture.Jamaica's population is consisted mainly of African descent, compromising about 90.9 percent of the demographics.
