Advice on booking a carribbean vacation for my girlfriend and I..?

My girlfriend and I are looking to go on vacation sometime in April to the carribbean. We are in our mid-twenties. We're looking more for a relaxing vacation with great food/beaches as opposed to an island with a crazy nightlife. We aren't sure where we want to go because we are not very familiar with the islands down there. We want to spend between $1,000-$1,500 a person and ideally stay at an all-inclusive resort. Any suggestions? Should we use a travel agent, and if so do they charge an extra fee?

Thanks!

If you can go to Cuba, I suggest staying at the Melia Cayo Santa Maria. It was perfect for a couples retreat - very relaxing and secluded. No teenagers/screaming/partying people and wonderful beach, food, and drinks.
If you're planning on Mexico, I suggest the Iberostar Cozumel - probably the most romantic Mexican resort we've ever been to. Can't wait to go back!
We usually book online - http://www.itravel2000.com , or you can call them directly and book over the phone. The staff there are super friendly and helpful.

I think you should check out Roatan. It is a very nice little island that isn't too crazy or crowded. It has beautiful beaches and blue waters. I have been there a few times and my family has always enjoyed themselves.

By all means check www.sandals.com. Sandals resorts are tops in pampering and romance. The Sandals Antigua was voted the most romantic caribbean resort for many years in a row. And all Sandals are couples only and all-inclusive. They have 7 resorts in Jamaica, 3 in St Lucia, 1 in the Bahamas and 1 in Antigua. Another option would be the Moon Palace in Cancun. Before you say no to this one, keep in mind that it is off to itself and has jacuzzi tubs looking out over the ocean. Hope this helps.

Travel agents may charge more, i think you should go to Antigua they are geared more to couples in fact they have the highest marriage per capita in the WORLD!! Its an awesome place there is lots of night life if you want but the resorts are geared towards couples and honeymooners.

Google Antigua or check trip advisor you can get a direct link to the websites where you might be able to book directly.
