All Inclusive Yes or No? |
I am looking to go to Aruba in Sept and I can not decide about getting the All Inclusive or not. It will be about 450 dollars more per person for 6 nights. What if the food isnt that great? How expensive would drinks be without this option? The hotel we will be staying at is the Holiday Inn Sunspree. |

Never been there myself but if the food was not good or excellent, I do not think it would be a popular place to vacation. It sounds like a lot more money ''all inclusive''and it is but if you break the $450.00 down per day that is $75.00 a day, and you can easily exceed that with food and drinks. If you went non exclusive and you had to put limits on food and drinks that would be a real drag! |

Every time I have the option of going All-Inclusive, I always take it. Not only does it make more economical sense, but you don't have to worry about tipping or paying for food/drinks/taxes every time you get a craving. Just tip the housecleaning crew before you leave.
Have fun! |

I think that is easy, what is 6 into 450? Good deal and no way could you eat out for that and buy drinks. The food will probably be buffet and the Holiday Inn is usually pretty good. |

I think it's kind of a personal choice. It can be a good deal, however I'm spontaneous and like the flexibility of going to different restaurants and trying many different things. |

It's great to not have to stress about how much money to bring and where you are going to keep it...what if you lose all your money at the bar because you were dtunk, or what if you spent too much last night (again - because you were drunk), but the BEST PART to me is - the 24 hour room service and not having to tip! |

Can you drink 450.00 worth of boos in 6 days??? Thats 75.00 a day. Drinks are 7 to 12 dollars a peice they have happy hours but if you drink thats maybe 10 drinks and then consider the food a freebie or if you dot drink that much estimate breakfast at 10 dollars pp lunch 20 pp and dinner 30+ pp so 60.00 a day in food pp. Then again aruba has awesome restaurants all over the island butI think AI is a great deal |

This is a pretty personal choice to be honest.
My husband and I travel to St. Maarten, and we always opt for the all-inclusive option for a couple reasons:
1. Our all-inclusive package included all food AND drinks. We both drink, and figured we could get our money's worth lounging poolside. In addition, we don't have to carry much money with us (maybe $5-$10 to tip the bartenders), so if our bag were to get stolen at the pool/beach, we wouldn't be out much cash.
2. If we're hungry and want to eat at the hotel, we do. We ate breakfast at our resort every day and it was fantastic! If we felt like lunch, we ate lunch. Otherwise we went and did our own thing. Eating dinner was kind of a toss-up. If we felt like getting dressed and going out, we did - otherwise we ate at the resort.
We basically didn't want to feel "tied down" to the pacakge, so we looked at it as an option. Some people might not agree with that philosophy, but we were comfortable with it and it worked for us, so I'd encourage you to ask yourselves the same question.
As for the quality of the food, I can't answer that question for you, but chances are, if it's a 3-or-higher star hotel, your food's going to be good - they wouldn't get that high of a rating otherwise!!
Safe travels to you!! |

I would go all inclusive my wife and I did in Cancun and it was well worth it. Another way to look at is if you blow all your cash at least you still get free drinks and food. |
