All-inclusive honeymoon spots, what do you recommend?

I'll be going on my honeymoon the week of 7 October and definitely want to stay at an all-inclusive tropical spot that's affordable, less than $4500 preferably. Any suggestions?

I highly reccommend Barbados -- I believe they have much cheaper for honeymoon packages.

Try:

Hope I helped.

Yep. Try Playa Del Carmen, Mexico. My wife and I went last May and stayed at an all inclusive called Viva Wyndham Maya. We paid (drum roll please) $158 per night PER ROOM for two. Not per person! That was a special price but it's running about $200 per room now. Still awesome. Beautiful beach. Super clear turquoise blue water. Good buffet and four separate restaurants all with exellent food. Good nightly entertainment. Even learned some new salsa dance moves from the staff. One night per week local artists are welcomed into the resort to sell their crafts. The grounds of the resort are beautiful. It is set up with thatch covered wood walkways that wander through the Mexican forest that was left undisturbed with the resort being built around it. In the forest they have constructed a miniature Mayan ruin. You can use the facilities and restaurants at their sister resort just down the beach the Viva Wyndham Azteca. We never went though because we loved the Maya.

The town of Playa Del Carmen is within a mile of the resort with easy access to shopping. Lots of shopping on Fifth Avenue. There is a sea side bar and grill called Senior Frogs right next to where the ferry docks. You can take it over to Cozumel for a day trip. The smallest Hard Rock in the world is there. That's it's claim to fame. If you go, go on Sunday. After siesta time the town wakes up again and at 6:00 pm almost everybody on the island comes to San Miguel to get together. They have live Mexican music in the town square. The locals have no problem with you mingling and talking to them. All the little girls dress up in Mexican dresses and wear their shiny patent leather shoes.

Might also look at all inclusive Akumal Beach Resort. They are currently offering a special for May of (drum roll please) $144 per night per room for two. I've never been there but it looks nice from pictures on the internet and Expedia.com customers have rated it well.

Hope you have a great time. Hope this helped. Que tenga un buen viaje. Espero que tu vida con su esposo esta lleno de amor! (Have a good trip. I hope your life with your husband is full of love!)

Oh just need to add this. There are a couple of good day trips you should consider. You can take a tour of the Mayan ruins of Tulum. You will learn about Mayan history and culture. Also, go to Xel Ha. It is a natural ocean estuary. A cenote (underground fresh water river) enters the estuary far from the ocean and travels down an open air river toward the sea. You can float down this river on an inner tube. The water starts out with very little salt content and becomes saltier as you float toward the sea. You can feel the water getting warmer the closer you get to the sea as the fresh water mixes with the sea water. You can snorkel there. You can also take an Aqua Trek. This is an underwater tour where you walk along the bottom of the sea with a helmet over you head. Air is pumped down a tube to your helmet from an air compressor on the surface.

Well, I wouldn't go to Barbados they don't have a lot of all inclusive one I think and they are expensive.

I would go to Negril Jamaica, beautiful there, and very intimate, you can go to a couples only resort. You could also do Cozumel, Mexico and do the same. As far as Mexico goes you could do Playa Del Carmen or the Rivera Maya and stay at a couples only resort all within the budget you mentioned.

My all time vote would be Cozumel though, very safe, the safest out of all mentioned. You can walk freely in San Miguel and not be hassled by anyone. There is very low crime rate. Beautiful island and relatively cheap. Easy to get around. Been there twice, just returned a week ago.
