All inclusive vacation Ideas

Last year my teenage son & I went on a 8 day cruise. We both had a blast and It was a great bargain having all the meals included. The only dis-advantage is there was no real beach relaxing time. Can anyone reccommend a all inclusive beach resort thats a pretty good bargain. We had a balcony room for about $1000 p/p then our shore excursions & airfare were additional. We don't want to go to a too family friendly of a place with lots of little kiddos nor do we want to end up at a mostly couples place.

I think the RIU Montego Bay, which will open up late this month, will be a good experience to have.

I found a really good deal at the Riu Montego Bay & Negril it's a brand new resort opening at the end of this month. They have some really good specials running for travel before the end of the year. Great for that last minute trip before the winter.

A LITTLE WHILE AGO I STAYED AT MERRILL 2 IN NEGRIL...IT WAS ABOUT 1200$ PER WEEK.
THIS WAS NOT A ROCK AND ROLL RESORT, YET IT WAS NOT FAR FROM ALFRED'S, AND THE OTHER NIGHT TIME DANCE PLACES. IT WAS ALSO NEAR SOME GREAT EATS...WOW...
THE RESORT ITSELF IS AL INCLUSIVE WITH GOOD SECURITY AND FINE FOOD AND TONS OF IT. IT HAS A POOL AND A NICE STAFF READY TO SEE TO YOUR NEEDS. IT ALSO HAS 2 SISTER RESORTS THAT YOU ARE WELCOME TO USE WHILE YOU ARE THERE...MERRILS I AND MERRILLS III. YOU MIGHT PREFER III AS IT IS NEWLY REMODELED. YOU CAN'T BEAT MERRILS...YOU ARE WELCOME TO TRY...GREAT SERVICE, GREAT FOOD, GREAT STAFF, GREAT PRICE...WHAT MORE CAN YOU ASK FOR?...IF YOU DO STAY THERE PLEASE LET ME KNOW IF YOU LOVE LIKE I DID...j2ss2@yahoo.com

-in negril, jamaica runs about $2600 for 7 nights 2 adults all inclusive.
-16+ age resort (not sure how old your teenage son is)

riu resorts have a great reputation in all of their locations.

-in cancun, mexico. has 2 separate kiddie pools and activity programs, to keep away from the kids, but depending on when you go, they will always be around. (also arond 2600 for 7nights 2 adults all inclusive)

http://www.occidentalhotels.com/grand/Xcaret.asp (about 1600 for all inclusive 2 adults 7 nights) -cancun (also has property options in other locations)

I just vacationed in Jamaica in May and it was beautiful! My bf and I are both in our early-mid 20s and we stayed at the Riu Ocho Rios and loved every minute of it. It is family friendly, although there weren't a lot of kids when we went at all. I would definitely recommend it to someone traveling with a teenage son. There's lots to do, activities, beautiful beach, energetic entertainment staff, and excursions (which cost extra, but were really fun and definitely made our trip!). We paid about 1200 per person on Expedia, which was a really great deal.
Have a great vacation!
