Nope my girl you are American with a Jamaican background....because if you tell someone yea I'm Jamaican...they automatically say what....."which part yuh come from?" when you know you were born in BK

You are an American citizen.

Your heritage is Jamaican.

You are an American of Jamaican decent.

You have to call yourself an American but not a Jamaican being you were born in The United States of America and not on the island of Jamaica.

Technically you are only American or Jamaican American. You are not a citizen of Jamaica. It is possible however to obtain dual citizenship. But to yourself you can just be both. You definitely can embrace it like that if you want.

Dimples
You are Jamaican American.

pinky
You're American because you were born in America.

If your parents were in the US legally, and you were born there, you are an American citizen. You will not be so acknowledged if they were there illegally, as are many Jamaicans. You can easily get your Jamaican citizenship since your parents are Jamaicans. If you should ever get into 'trouble', you would quickly find out where you really belonged!

you are an american, because you were born in america, but you have Jamaican heritage and a Jamaican by BLOOD. so you should try to have knowledge of the history of Jamaica.

jagirl
You are an American with Jamaican parents. It's not a matter of half anything.

well you are an american since you were born there but since your parents are jamaican then that makes you technically jamaican too

**ALL**of these people above me and below me are wrong. (I went back and edited this just in case you ask). You see, It all depends on the culture that you live. If you live the Jamaican culture, then you are Jamaican. If you live the American culture, then you are American. There is no such thing as being half this or that, because you cannot get a culture or nationality through DNA. It's stupid and impossible. That is something that cannot be passed down from parents.

For instance, my dad is Jamaican and my mom is American..However, I go by Jamaican because that is my culture. I don't live the American culture in anyway watsoever, so I am not "Jamerican". The only way you can consider yourself two things is if you live two cultures.

The only thing a person can be mixed with is RACIAL TYPES, which are mongoloid, caucasoid, and *******.

That's the way how that stuff works. Don't let anybody fool you.

Jababygirl
If you had one parents from Jamaica and one from American you would be half but since your not you are full Jamaican.
