ROGER

Another Joke or Hoax ?

Prime Minister Patrick Manning urged a large crowd of PNM supporters and the rest of the nation to keep the faith as he declared his administration has a handle on the rising food prices. We have faith and hope Mr. PM but not in you and your administration. We sure your food plan will bear fruits just like your crime plan has bear rotten fruits. What good are patrol boats going to do out at sea when the crime is occurring on the land?

Food prices are indeed ridiculous - but its occuring all over the world right now, this just teaches us to:

SAVE more - rainy days are ahead

EAT sensibly, yes I know fruits and veggies expenses varies, but, a snack box cost $21.00 a meal can be prepared for that amount and serve more. Yes I also know time is a factor (working persons) but an average meal is around $30.00 - multiply it and see the costs

Eating right also reduces the chances of getting various illnesses that can add strain to our pockets for health care later on

BUY sensibly - try (yes its hard) to spend money on essential or valuable items with a resale value. I am a huge culprit (the amount of jewellry I own made from beads, shells, plastics, metals, wood, stone (none precious) etc. cannot be of value to me - I own tons! Unless I'm famous and people want to buy my costume jewellry - it will remain in my jewellry box until Its outdated.

We need to start to formulate our own action plan, and not depend on the government - because when a dire time arise we need to ulitimately fend for ourselves

Roger, your post is well written but incorrectly directed. Write it on a piece of paper and mail it to Patrick Manning c/o the Red House. It will not do the country any good here.
