I have been to Bermuda twice and so here's my suggestion based on those experiences.

Bermuda has some of the best beaches anywhere; pink sand beaches that you can easily find a deserted spot on. In my two visit it seemed to me that the majority of the people visiting the island were those on the two or three cruise ships which docked there during my stay. There are a few hotels in the town of Hamilton and about a dozen other properties/beach hotels, but they are nice. There are NO slums and ghettos in Bermuda like you may see in the Caribbean islands. All of the houses are well maintained and painted in pastel colors. All of the public beaches are great. If you go there you want to be sure to go to Elbow Beach and Long Bay Beach. Bermuda is very expensive to eat in; everything has to be imported. When you cruise there its less expensive than flying and staying in a hotel because, you stay and eat on the ship.

A five, six, or seven days is plenty enough time to see and enjoy everything there. There is not a lot to do in Bermuda other than water sports and golf. There are two main towns Hamilton, the largest (where most cruise ships dock for at least a day) and St George (also a port stop) which is like a small town and has just a few shops. The third place ships may dock while there is The Kings Dockyard.. The Dockyard is on the far end of the 22 mile long island and has a small mall with shops and a museum. The Crystal Cave and Fantasy Caves are worth visiting as a tour, or on your own. I also visited one of the lighthouses and you can visit one of the many forts on the island like Fort St Catherine if you like that type activity.

In the town of Hamilton we took a walking tour which took us to the Cathedral of the Most Holy, a maritime museum and a nice garden/park a few blocks from the port. There is shopping in Hamilton and restaurants, but not much else. The best way to get around in Bermuda is to buy a transportation pass which will let you take the buses, and the ferry, all over the island. There is a big bus depot in the town of Hamilton. You can take the buses to the beach, they are not very far away and easy to get to from the bus stop. You want to go to Elbow Beach and Long Bay Beach. If you want to snorkel, the Tobacco Bay Beach near the town of St George is great, and its walking distance (about 3/4 mile from town), or you can take a bus near there and walk.

The positives for Bermuda are its pretty, very nice beaches, its easy to get around, and quiet its safe. You can use the web sites below to look for places to eat and attractions on the island.

just went there last week the BEST BEST place i have been (ive been lots of places) here are some things YOU MUST DO!!!!

Elbow Beach (or it might be Elbow Bay i forgot)
Tobacco Bay

and theres a store at St. George its near the cruise port across the bus station its called "The Cracker Box", its a great store with decent prices, you dont have to choose between a t-shirt and sending your kids to college lol

I have been to Bermuda a few times and I love it!
Is beautiful.
And one of the most well known Restaurants is The Carriage House
But there are a lot of small nice restaurants in the town .

I lived in Bermuda for 4 years, it is really nice(and the saying goes.

Bermuda is another world
Turn around and you will see
Its the way the people treat you
Its like a melody

Go all over the Island. hire a bike the speed limit is 10mph in town (Hamilton and St Georges) and 15mph on all other roads, the Island is only 2.5 x10miles you can cover the island in a few days, there is plenty to do and its quite cheap, great food,and night life not roudy.

well im from bermuda and i can tell you point blank that there is not much to do or see here at all. most of the visitors here come souly for the beaches, which yes, are beautiful. however, hotels, many restaurants, etc..are expensive (from april-oct hotel prices will sting you up to $450 + per night)...
***it's called elbow beach***but by far the most popular beach is horseshoe bay. it's located on the south shore (where the best beaches are)!!
as for restaurants...go where the locals go...
in the western end (dockyard) try:
freeport
frog and onion is a bit pricey but gives you a load of food!!!
hamilton (city):
bistro j
kathy's cafe
the beach
kfc (of course, sorry no mc donald's though)!!!
chopsticks
various small cafes (city cafe and cafe acoreano are in the city center directly across the street from hamilton bus station)
st. georges:
tavern by the sea (great place, great food, friendly staff, good prices)!

as for trips...
cheapest way is to go on a sightseeing tour by bus. i guess you can reserve through your hotel.
there are other places like:
tom moores tavern
spittle pond
fort scaur
crystal caves
and, you can take walks along the old railway trails
