frigg girl like yuh does read meh mind, i was just thinking bout them things.

i never read the boyo and carla series, thank god. everytime i see that book i does get vex.
imagine;
Pg1: This is Boyo.
Pg2: This is Carla.
Pg3: Boyo is a boy. yuh think????
Pg4: Carla is a girl. No $h!t sherlock.
Pg5: This is baby anna.
Pg6: Baby Ana is a baby. Serious? I would never have guessed!!!
I learn more words in the first two pages of the first primer than it have in the entire boyo and carlo introductory book. and dey wonder why we have people in secondary school who cant read.

The West Indian Reader was the red book, starting from the First primer all the way up to Book 5.

Ah also read the republic reader, ah had ah green one, ah think in standard 2.

One ah dem used to have poems and songs and plays in the back ah d book, ah used to read that part of the book first. lol

lol! i use republic reader too. cyar remember much though, allyuh does refresh my memory yes!!

I think I still have a West Indian reader somewhere. I used it for my daughter when she was young and she is an avid reader to this day. The words were easy for her and she liked the idea that she was reading by herself!

the red book was First Primer,i think that was the name.yea, i remember boyo and carla but leh me test u....in republic reader,i think it was RR4, there was a story bout thin foot,broad mouth and a third one.i cant remember the third one name...help me out.they were 3 brothers that were sent to the shop one by one by their mother
