Anyone been to barbados?

my family and i have vacationed in jamaica. we loved the beauty of the island but the security hazards and slight poverty were slightly alarming. is barbados more safe than jamaica?

also, we have a family of 15 with 7 cousins ranging in age from 7-16. what are some activities we can enjoy together?
Additional Details
one more thing- while in jamaica i became addicted to this juice that is only sold in the caribbean- 'Tru Juice'. i wonder if it's in barbados?

I went to Barbados for the 1st time last August & it was really great!
The white sandy beaches...WOW!
The food....WOW!
The people.....Friendly!
The hotel stay...Would go again!
Safety...Extremely safe!
If you go to Barbados, book a Catamaran ~ It's imperative
It's all-inclusive, they pick you up from your hotel & you can snorkel with turtles & large fishes, visit a shipwreck, sunbathe on the deck...another WOW! The kids will love it!

or you can go on the Atlantis Submarine

If you want to be in the center of Barbados nightlife you can visit The St. Lawrence Gap - The Broadway of the Caribbean! My hotel was in The Gap, so it was extremely convenient! Several local restaurants, local dishes & hotels are located here.

I have not seen Tru juice in Barbados, but you can enquire with one of the locals about it's availability.
If you go to Barbados you fall in love with it's beauty! No lie!

The two islands are in marked contrast to each other. Barbados is very different -- green, calm and prosperous. Being out of the hurricane area must help considerably. You feel safe there. You are going to enjoy it. I can't help over Tru-Juice, which is manufactured in Jamaica, but here are some activities. http://www.funbarbados.com/activities/

I have been to Barbados a number of times but as never been to Jamaica, I cannot speak for myself the comparsion between the two islands.

But I can speak for Barbados, it has a low crime rate and it's very safe.

Barbados has water activities if you're interested, there is also golf. You can also do sightseeing around the island. You can also do shopping in Bridgetown, its capital, known for duty-free.

About Tru Juice, I have never heard of that so I'm not too sure if they are available in Barbados.

Barbados has no worries about posting their crime statistics online... The site is currently under construction though since we had a change of government in the middle of Jan..

http://www.barbadospolice.gov.bb/

When it is back-up they usually post their statistics right on there... All the crimes reported....

Barbados being a smaller island, will have less poverty. However, it is more populated. It is the most populated island in the Caribbean.

I would suggest you are careful in any foreign city with crowds, because pick pockets are on the look out everywhere for tourists. Be careful with your purses, and be aware of the crowd around you.

Check out hotels that cater to children. They will have activities for Children and adults.
