yesss it has beautiful beaches and a few nice stores. it didn't have many places to go at night though, but if you stay at a nice resort they usually have events to attend. |

yes and I am still undecided on my feelings about it.
It's a beautiful country, yet if you are going to see party and hang out there is not really any nitelife, there is no town like you see in MX or Jamaica, it's just small area's with a few buildings. I got sick the last 3 days of my vacation so that just kinda turned me off to the DR only because I hear it over and over that ppl get sick while visiting. I can't say I will go again anytime soon, I haven't totally written it off either. |

I LOVED PUNTA CANA,
IVE ALSO BEEN TO PURETO PLATA AND I LIKED PUNTA CANA BETTER,
THE BEACHES WERE AMAZING.
IT ALL DEPENDS WHAT UR LOOKING FOR. IN REGARDS TO BEACHES I GIVE IT A 5STAR THE SERVICE IN OUR RESORT WAS GOOD, NIGHT LIFE NOT ALL THAT GREAT BUT LIKE I SAID ALL DEPENDS WHAT UR LOOKING FOR ON A VACATION |

yes, its awesome. i recommend the barcelo bavaro resort. I have pics on my site from it..www.myspace.com/dominicanita80. Ill set it so you can see it. the barcelo is 5 resorts and you can eat and drink at all of tem for free. The nite life was great. the clubs were always packed and the ocean was the most beautiful i have ever seen. The sand was good too. Email me ifyou want any more info yennyv@yahoo.com |

What can I say about Punta Cana ..hmm Likes :
- The beach is nice (and I'm comparing this to Barbados which has the BEST beaches in the world!),
- The people are friendly except it help to know Spanish as that was clearly the language of choice.
Dislikes :
- I got sick from the food or water and I wasn't the only one
- There wasn't much else in the area to do outside of the resort - no town to visit (as far as I can tell) I think the nearest one was about 40 mins away. |

We were in Punta Cana last December and had a great time. However, we didn't leave the resort so I have no clue what the city itself is like. Our resort was about an hour bus ride from the airport, so we were pretty isolated. |

We stayed at the Secrets Excellence Punta Cana in late August and had a great time. It was a slow time at the hotel so no big crowds or long lines. Plenty of room in the pool and great hotel.
The most relaxing week I've ever had and fantastic weather. |
