As anywhere in the world you must be aware of crime. However puting that aside there is much to experience.
Trinidad is very cosmopoliton and industrious. Great variety of food (indian, chinese, creole, italian, etc.) For shopping there are many malls to choose from as well as all the bargains to be found in the town; Ferderick Street.
For the social butterflies the night life is fantastic! New places to hang out (lime) pop up all over so there is certainly no lack of. There are many tourist attractions too. And of coarse there is the "Trinindad Carnival"which is a must experience!!! This normally happens the fist Monday and Tuesday before Ash Wednesday.
Tobago on the other hand is more layed back and easy going. Great hotels, snorkling, fishing, golf or watching the famous annual goat race. There is also the Jazz festival which happens each year too.
Best of all is you will find the Trini people friendly and proud of their country. It always helps to know someone from there already to take you around. |

Yes. It's lovely. Go with someone who knows the place though, or it's not as fun/safe. |

Yes. Trinidad and Tobago are beautiful countries. As expected anywhere there is crime but the people, land beaches, culture and warmth of the people can compensate where there are defiencies. Visit Tobago after shopping, visiting Maracas, Asa Wright Nature Center, eat a doubles or even just going around the Savannah and drinking coconut water and viewing the Magnificient Seven. Tobago the sc enic beaches, the beautiful waterfalls and the people. MAke a Friend and enjoy Trinidad and Tobago's hospatility. |

Got married in Tobago which is a really lovely, special island but we had no incentive to travel over to Trinidad. Apparently it's pretty crime ridden but that's just what we were told. |
