What do you think about the current political situation?

I'm living in Trinidad & Tobago. I think the current political situation is just a huge joke. These so called politicians should all put on their primary school uniforms and have a day at the park. We, the locals are very much to blame cause we are the ones who put them there and the country is just a laughing stock to the rest of the world. Politicians don't care about the 'small people', we have to work our asses off and pay taxes and they just spend that money cause it does not come out of their pockets. I think the Mr. Prime Minister should try fixing his home (Trinidad & Tobago) before fixing anyone else's. We pay health taxes here and I have never seen health facilities such as we have here on the islands and the service is so deplorable that I am ashamed sometimes. These hospitals do not even have proper equipment etc. As soon as there is an accident here in Tobago, the victim has to be flown to Trinidad for proper medical care which is madness. Minimum wage here is TT$9.00 an hour, how do they expect people to survive on this salary? Some of these people who earn that salary have familiy (kids) to take care of. I personally do not know how they do it cause I have one child and it is very expensive to take care of him, muchless those parents with 4 and 5 kids.

I am hoping that sooner rather than later, something is done to change all this or our kids will not have a future.

Yes, I was born inTrinidad and Tobago. The current state of politics is the country is run by the PNM government. It is a democratic republic.
There is currently 3 to 4 party system right now.
With all 3rd world countries there is always political corruption, crime, high inflation, high unemployment among other things.
Trinidad is blessed with having oil, some staple crops and other resources.
