First, Puerto Ricans are US citizens because of a US Congress law passed in 1917, and not just simply because the island of Puerto Rico is a US territory. This law is called the Jones-Shafroth Act.

1. As US citizens, Puerto Ricans as issued US passports.
2. The freedom to live and work in the US mainland is derived from the rights of being a US citizen. This freedom is only guaranteed as long as US Congress determines so. The US Congress has the power to change laws and the Jones-Shafroth Act is no different.
3. The widely spoken language in the island is Spanish, whether at home, school or work. English is also spoken, but not widely. Regarding language fluency, the majority of Puerto Ricans speak fluent Spanish and about a quarter can also speak fluent English.

Yes we are US citizens.
We become a territory of the USA in 1898 after USA defeated Spain in a war. By 1917 with the Jones-Shafroth Act the US citizenship was otorgued to the people of PR.

1. Yes, we use US Passports.
2. We have the same freedom as any US citizen born at the states, to live/work at any place of the USA, for anytime we want.
3. We speak mostly spanish at work, schools, and work. We have billingual schools, and universities teaching in english, and also some jobs where it is required to talk in english.

Yes Puerto Ricans are US citizens

1.yes we have US passports and we can travel through the US with only an ID
2.We can work over there just like if we were moving through PR
3.We speak Spanish at home, school and work, over 50% of Puerto Ricans don't know English (shocking though), but we have an English class at our school that its required and we get better jobs if we know English and some words are mixed between English and Spanish in our every day talk.

Yes we are Us citizen, we use a US passport when traveling outside the US, we can work in the US without the need of a permit or visa, we speak mostly Spanish but some jobs may require someone who is completely bilingual and fluent in English.

Yeah, we are US citizen since 1917 when the President Woodrow Wilson signed the Jones-Shafroth Act.

Therefore:

1) Yes we do have passports
2) Yes, we have freedom to live at any of the 50 states and the right of get a job
3) The native Language in Puerto Rico is Spanish. English is taught at schools but it is not the primary language in PR. At home, school and most of the jobs puertoricans speak, write and read Spanish

In school they told me I is. But I've never had the need to get a passport yet. When I go on vacation to Orlando, they only ask me for my drivers license. They started doing that after 9/11/01. Before that date, they never asked me for nothing. You used to just buy your plane ticket and hop on the plane, but now you have to show some sort id with a picture of your face on it.

Officialy the "Commonwealth of Puerto Rico" (Estado Libre Asociado "ELA")

1.) Of course, Puerto Ricans have US passports
2.) Yes, we have free hand to live and work in the mainland of US for good and vice versa.
3.)Puerto Ricans speak Spanish, but our language is very confused because the most part of the citizens speak "Spanglish", thats a combination like Spanish and English hehe, well.. lets say the younger people, like me hehe.
