Are Puerto Ricans bad at waiting in lines?

I am a Puerto Rican, its not that we are bad people or anything, its just that u usually have to wait a long time for everything here, I have to take a day off just to be the whole day waiting for a doctor's appointment, there is a lot of us and very little patience so we tend to push or cut line, next time u do it or u will never get to the place u want to go. Puerto Ricans are taught since they r little to stand up and demand what they need, I am king of a shy person, so I usually don't get what I need and wait for long hours to get it. They shouldn't have cut u in line and those were probably rude people, but the impatience it is normal when u r in line here, but its because everything takes really long here, too many people, too many cars and very few people working cause we are on an economy crisis.

I don't think race has to do with it... it's the patience of the person with the race that's the issue

It's not just Puerto Ricans. People from impoverished countried are used to having to push and shove to get what they want. I used to take the bus back and forth to work in a predominantly hispanic area, and if I didn't shove my way onto the bus, it would fill up and I'd have to wait for the next one. I learned that after getting pushed backwards and having to wait another hour for the next bus. They aren't being rude in their book, just looking out for themselves. Next time, cut in line too. (When in Rome...)

yes, its normal, its a rush thing just like newyorkers do. and what u need to do its rush as well, otherwise u will never get there. its also of good moral education to give ur position away to the elderly and/or handicap people

So how do you know they're puertorican?

Sure its in PR, but in reality most of the people in the SJU airport are from the US. Seriously, this airport recieves over 10 million passengers per year & while there are many puertoricans, I think there are more People from the US that go through there either vacationing in PR or on any other caribbean island. PR is a hub & people trying to reach other islands also stop here.

All airports are filled with people from all over the world, not just that area. & its not a race thing, people in all airports are rude because most are running late or worrying.

Yeah, I'm puerto rican, and I have to be first at everything, I'm a spoiled girl and I hate doing lines, I must have everything I want when I want it and I hate the poor and the middle class.
